I received this amazing story from ProdigyBoy about a Memphis fan that I thought was incredible! Please read it, it’s absolutely amazingg!
A fan I met during the Memphis workshop concert had biked from Hamilton to Toronto to see the gig on Wednesday at Lee’s Palace. After telling Torq how much he enjoyed to see the show and would love to see them at Hillside but tickets where sold out. Torq offered him a guest list entry if he biked from Hamilton to the festival at Guelph Lake. Needless to say he took him up on that offer. I caught up with the guy the next day happy to see that he found a way to catch the last day of the festival too. His pass was good for both days and he wrapped up himself under a vendors tarp for a place to sleep he couldn’t meet up with those that offered him their tent. I think his name was Nathan and he was incredibly thankful for what Torq had done and was having a great time.

Spring is upon us and brought it’s own special gift to STARS last week. Amy and Evan welcomed the newest addition to the family – Delphine Rita Jane Cranley. Everyone is doing wonderfully and enjoying the Montreal sun peeking through the snow.
On that note, our newest single, “Changes” is available on iTunes Canada now and iTunes USA next Tuesday (April 5th). The single is available to everyone, everywhere from our store now. Listen to the new version of the single, remixed by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol) here. Jaron Albertin made a weird and wonderful video, watch it here(viewer discretion advised – video contains nudity) or you can see the censored version here.
We are busy working away on a new record, set for release early next year. But there is lots more to come between now and then – including a great video for “We Don’t Want Your Body” and some very special releases planned for later this year. Summer will see us popping up here and there with some live shows and events. We promise you’ll be the first to know – stay tuned.
In STARS related news, Torquil’s other project, Memphis, has a new record out (which you can purchase here) and is on tour in April in Canada and East Coast USA. Dates are listed below, come out and pelt some fruit.
From Montreal with love,
